Come with me to prep a fine motor skill workshop f Come with me to prep a fine motor skill workshop for Year 5s and 6s in a specialist speech and language unit!

As OTs we aim to make activities as exciting as possible by including real life examples, colours, textures and exciting challenges to engage little learners who require sensory rich input to attend and learn in class!

This week we are focusing on:
• Fine Motor Skills
• Bilateral Integration with zip and popper work
• Visual Perception
• Teamwork
• Sequencing and Attention
• Problem solving

A huge success! 🤩🖐🏻

Supporting organising and attention starts with the body!

When we make planning physical, sensory and meaningful, we give neurodivergent children tools that work with their brains and bodies - not against them.

Think movement-based routines, visuals and sensory breaks - all ways to make executive functioning visible, tangible and achievable.

It’s not about changing the child - it’s about changed how we support them 🩵
